Audiology
Mary Hare's Audiology Department is equipped with modern audiometric facilities enabling our resident audiologists, in liaison with Royal Berkshire Hospital staff, to monitor pupils' hearing capacities. Great stress is placed on the use of hearing, so efficient systems for aid testing have been set up.
Earmould impressions (and earmoulds) are provided in school obviating the need for time-wasting clinic journeys.
Our Audiologists work with Cochlear Implant teams around the UK to support the needs of the 40% of our pupils who have a cochlear implant.
