Securing a place for your child

If you would like your child to come to Mary Hare Primary School, we would be delighted to arrange for you to come and visit us.  Contact us through the website or by telephone.

There are a number of stages to progressing the placement of your child at Mary  Hare Primary School. When you ring us or email us, we invite you to bring your child for a visit. If this visit makes you feel that Mary Hare Primary is the right place for your child, and we believe that we can meet his/her needs, then we arrange an assessment period of up to a week, when your child joins one of our classes and is assessed by the class teacher, speech and language therapist and head of centre.

We write a report following this visit, which describes our view of your child’s strengths and weaknesses as a learner, and gives recommendations for future provision. If you decide that you want to change your child’s provision, then we strongly advise that you have an NDCS rep to support you in the process ahead.
