Message from the Head Boy and Head Girl
The Mary Hare 6th form is truly a remarkable place to be. There is a wonderful atmosphere, you can relax in your very own private space, chill out in the common room, catch up with your mates or simply talk to care staff over a cup of tea.
You will never be bored!! Care staff and pupils organise evening activities such as swimming, football, quiz nights
and even evenings out in the Newbury area. The awesome care staff team are all dedicated to making 6th form life as enjoyable as possible.
Not all activities are organised directly by care staff. The prefects and social committees will also do their bit to organise action packed fun evenings for all. The accommodation is truly top notch (better than some universities). Year 12’s get twin rooms with an en-suite bathroom and yr 13’s get single rooms with shared (between two) bathroom.
And of course there are the studies! Our Head of Years 12 & 13 will always be there to keep an watchful eye on your academic studies. The choice of subjects are diverse and the quality of the teaching is certainly brilliant. Not only do you get your own personal space in your room to carry out prep/revision but the library is always open for study periods, as well as the art rooms and DT facilities.
