Developing Vocabulary in Maths

Rachael Lethbridge, works in the Maths Department at Mary Hare School as Maths Teacher and Numeracy Co-ordinator.  In the article below, published in 'Equals', she reflects on the presentation that she and a colleague gave at the 2018 Hear and Now conference at Mary Hare.  The presentation highlighted the importance of teaching the vocabulary that is inherent in the Maths curriculum but which would rarely be learnt incidentally by a deaf pupil or indeed used in their everyday lives.
