Rising Star
Mary Hare pupil, Danny Murphy, recently attended the North East and Cumbria Royal Society Television Awards which celebrated the very best of the region's television talent.
The dinner and ceremony took place at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead.
Danny received the 'Rising Star' award in the Emerging Talent category for his role in the ITV Signpost mini series, 'Mission Employable'. Danny also recently featured in the Hollywood movie 'The Parts you Lose' and is becoming ever more popular through his comic sketches on social media.
Danny said, 'This does mean to me lots! I'm still shocked because I can't believe it. I am very much thankful to ITV for honouring me for my excelling in the responsibility that is being given to me. I feel I am one step closer to my goals. It has strengthened my belief in myself.'
