A very Hoppy Easter

Two Mary Hare Primary pupils were delighted to come 1st and runner up in the David Wilson Homes Easter card competition.

Maxwell Bown (10) was the winner of the competition with his 'Hoppy Easter' card design, winning a £25 book token, and Tinksie Beau Guest (8) was the runner up with her 'Happy Easter' and 'Stay Safe' card, winning a £15 book token.

The inititave by David Wilson Homes was for a pupil to design an Easter card which would then be printed and distribute to the residents on the Newbury Racecourse development.

Rob Allen, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “Easter is a fantastic occasion and, despite under different circumstances this year, allowed us to work with Mary Hare School on a creative competition for its pupils.  Maxwell’s excellent design was a worthy winner and Tinksie’s was a close second, but we’d like to thank those who took part in our competition for the wonderful entries."

Well done to all pupils who entered and for keeping their love of art going during the lockdown.

“We hope the pupils enjoyed creating their pieces of art and we’ll look forward to our next opportunity to work with Mary Hare School.”
