Young Photographer of the Year

Each year the Rotary Club organise a National Photographic Competition for students to showcase their photography skills. The competition is split into three groups – Junior, Intermediate and Senior.  

This year the theme was ‘Reflections’ and all Photography students from Mary Hare were invited to take part. Elle Johnston and Isabella Giddens in Year 10 took up the challenge and entered 3 photographs each.  

Even though they are in year 10, both pupils were in fact classed as seniors and so were competing against 18-year-old A level students.

Although neither girl won the competition this year, both were awarded with a certificate as an acknowledgement of taking part and Isabella was awarded a Merit for her entry.

We are very proud of Elle and Isabella for taking part and they entered some stunning photos! You can see the photos below.
