Gillian Bisset, Governor

Gillian qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAS) with Grant Thornton in London having graduated from Aberdeen University (MA) and the London School of Economics (Diploma Accountancy and Economics). Her commercial skills were honed during ten years building her retail business; managing branches in London and the Cotswolds she learned the value of loyalty and application. Gillian first returned to finance in consulting roles, but since 2008 has headed up the group financial reporting team at Oxford University Press (OUP) where she is the technical accounting lead and champion for internal controls. OUP is part of the University of Oxford and furthers the University's objective of excellence in research, scholarship, and education by publishing worldwide. Gillian has two children, is a keen gardener and enjoys keeping fit, she completed her first triathlon last year.
