We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Criminal Records Bureau checks along with other relevant emplyment checks. Mary Hare School follows and auditory/oral educational philosophy, so a knowledge of sign language is not required by staff. Applications for teaching positions are welcomed from both Teachers of the Deaf and teachers of hearing children. Teachers without a formal qualification to teach deaf children are required to qualify, through in-service training, within 3 years of appointment. Funding for these courses is provided by Mary Hare School. |
