Course description
The PGDip portion of the apprenticeship is part-time blended learning with 9 face-to-face study weekend (Fri-Sat) over two years, covering eight modules. It leads to the mandatory qualification for Teachers of the Deaf, approved by the DfE. This qualification enables candidates to work with children and young people who are deaf from 0 - 25 years of age and covers all communication modes. Students who continue beyond this post graduate diploma award to successfully complete a dissertation can qualify for an MA in Teachers of Deaf Learners QTOD (subject to validation).
