Assistant Head of Residential Care

We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and highly professional leader to join our team as Assistant Head of Residential Care. In this pivotal role, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring our residential houses are not only fully compliant but warm, nurturing, and truly homely environments where young people can thrive.

Who You Are?

An Experienced Leader
Candidates are expected to hold a QCF Level 5 (or equivalent) and bring a minimum of five years’ supervisory experience within residential care settings, demonstrating strong people management and team‑building skills.

A Compliance Specialist
You possess an in‑depth understanding of the SCCIF framework and have a proven record of contributing to—or leading—residential services achieving Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.

Hours
Term time: 41 hours per week (flexible rota, including evenings/on-call)
Salary
NJC 35-38 (£44,568.56 - £48,128.87)

Residential Care Worker

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To be a stable and safe adult and a role model of excellent behaviour

To lead and participate in activities after school, in the evening and at weekends, promoting social communication and interaction on the school site and in the community.

Have an open, fun and mature approach to life

To provide care and support for pupils with assistance and mobility, communication and social interaction

To liaise, in conjunction with the staff team, with the school SENDCO, Learning Support Assistants, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist to identify and support the writing of personal care plans and procedures.

To oversee the physical and emotional care of the pupils, including but not limited to, consideration of pupil’s health, diet, clothing, hygiene, safety, and emotional welfare.

Salary
£27,514.50 - £29,381.02 (NJC 15 - 19)

Residential Bank Care Staff

We are seeking energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic people who can commit to being available to work shifts within our residential boarding houses. Our children and young people enjoy being supported by a team of adults who bring with them unique hobbies and interests and an enabling approach which encourages and supports then while away from their homes. You will form relationships with both staff and children and will become an integral part of the residential service as a whole.
