Lead Teacher for Animal Care
At Mary Hare we deliver a range of vocational qualifications to students of mixed ability. Animal Care resources include a garden area, mixed woodland and a variety of animals varying from small mammals, exotic species and livestock on site. The position requires a flexible person who can plan and deliver lessons to small groups of deaf sixth form students, with a future possibility of delivering to younger pupils.
We currently offer and deliver levels 1-3 qualifications (City and Guilds) in Animal Care and Management. You will work with another teacher and a technician and will be expected to deliver engaging lessons and assess and verify assignments. An element of this role will be helping to develop and expand our animal collection in conjunction with animal welfare requirements.
