Your Association

All former pupils become members of the Alumni Association when they leave Mary Hare School.  We prefer to communicate with you by email so please complete the stay in touch form on this site.

After 15 years of leading the Alumni Association, Simon Goldberg has stepped down.  In a vote before Christmas, Derek Grabham was elected the new Chairman.

"Hello, this is Derek Grabham, an ex-pupil of Mary Hare Grammar School (as it was called then) from 1976 to 1982.

It was a proud honour to have myself elected, by the members of the MHAA, as the new Chair of MHAA. It will be a huge challenge and very much look forward to the new era of the MHAA.

We now must bring the Association into this digital age using social media to bring the connection between the school and ex-pupils to a thriving relationship. It will be hard work, granted but it is possible,  as long as our new Committee and myself will ensure the Association into an active organisation.

We have set up our initial Committee meeting in April 2019 to start the ball rolling. It is anticipated that the Association will seek to organise a mega reunion to coincide the 75th anniversary. The Committee will discuss this along with the school board. This will be held in the summer of 2021.

Lastly, a special thanks must go to our former Chair, Simone Goldberg as she had done a sterling job. The Association was sinking fast until Simone took over and kept it afloat for 15 years. Huge kudos to Simone!!

Lastly, if anyone have a suggestion or an idea to make this Association to something we can revere to. Please get in touch with the school.

Thank you."
