Joy Rosenberg

Joy is a Consultant Clinical Scientist, an Educational Audiologist and a Qualified Teacher of Deaf Children and Young People. Over more than three decades on three continents, she has worked with deaf individuals from newborn to geriatric ages in education (spoken and signed languages), clinic (diagnostic and rehabilitative), research and higher education settings. Joy is Director of Courses Department at Mary Hare and is Programme Leader for MA/MSc Deaf Education Studies (Teacher of the Deaf and Educational Audiology Courses) at Mary Hare partnered to University of Hertfordshire.  She leads modules in Holistic Development, Anatomy and Physiology and Whole Case Management; teaching throughout the programme and previously on the Early Years and Deafness Course.   

Joy holds a doctorate and master’s degree in audiology, a master’s degree in deaf education, and a postgraduate certificate in higher education. Her research and practice interests have included working in partnership, early years identification and intervention, and educational audiology service development both nationally and in the global south.   She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and also of the British Society of Audiology.
