Educational Audiology Module Aims 2022-23

Available as Stand-alone options – 15 credits each

7FHE1100 | Anatomy and Physiology | Semester A
Develop a critical awareness of current research and materials in regards to anatomy, physiology and related aetiologies/pathologies of the ear.  Consider how this impacts a child or young person who is deaf and how it applies to the role of educational audiologist in a multidisciplinary team.

Research Methods and Dissertation Module

This is a 60 credit, Level 7 module for the MA/MSc Deaf Education Studies.

MA/PG Dip Ed. Studies (Teacher of the Deaf)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Deaf Education Studies (Teacher of the Deaf) is recognised as leading to the mandatory qualification for Teachers of the Deaf. The course is approved by the DfE. This qualification enables candidates to work with children and young people who are deaf from 0 - 25 years of age. Students who continue beyond this post graduate diploma award to successfully complete a dissertation qualify for an MA in Deaf Education Studies (Teacher of the Deaf).
